We won’t know the winner of American Idol until later this month, but we do know when and where the top ten finalists will be from July 1 to Sept. 14!
Starting on July 1 in Auburn Hills, Mich., the top ten finalists from American Idol Season 9 will kick off the American Idols Live tour. The 49-city tour runs through Sept. 14 in Pittsburgh.

During the Top 7 results show Idol Gives Back returned after a one year hiatus. The show was hosted by Queen Latifah in Los Angeles at the Pasadena Civic Center.
The charity event was an overwhelming success raising $45 million dollars, with more to be expected after totaling iTunes sales. Artists that supported the event include Russell Brand, Jonah Hill, Randy Jackson, Orianthi, David Cook, Elton John, Jennifer Gardner, Mary J Blige, Alicia Keys, Elliott Yamin, Morgan Freeman, Justin Bieber, David Arquette, Carrie Underwood, Joss Sone, The Black Eyed Peas, Slash, Chris Rock, Jeff Beck and many others.
