Kris Allen takes the American Idol crown, plans for tour
Kris Allen took home a victory on American Idol over Adam Lambert, and will soon be heading on the road on the 50-city “American Idol” 2009 Summer Tour in July.
Allen’s soulful voice helped him to win big, in May Finale, in the eighth season of the popular talent search show. He beat out bad boy Lambert, after a hotly contested race.
Now that the show is over, Allen is preparing his first release from Jive Records in the Fall. Lambert is also in the news, coming out as gay on the cover of Rolling Stone Magazine.
